It could vary by chassis, but mine does dump air when I use auto-level. The ride height levelers dump the air because the frame goes up. Easy way to dump the air bags is to not auto level - just raise the rear. Let the air dump. Then lower the rear and auto level.

I installed dump valves on mine.
