Leveling System leak

Has anyone dealt with a leveling system leak? I have a 2014 Classic. The system is made by EQ Systems and uses ATF for fluid. I believe I have isolated the leak to one of the four leveling legs. Does not appear to be leaking from any of the attached hoses. Probably leaking from the cylinder internally. Talking to EQ systems, they do not sell a kit to replace the seals and O rings. They will sell you a new Cylinder, for about approximately $130. Seeking advice and experience from the forum. Thanks. k

Check the plugs on the opposite side of the cylinder where the hoses attach. My equalizer jacks are universal left or right with four hose attachment points two top and two bottom on opposing sides. I used an Allen wrench to tighten up the plugs on the unused side and it solved the leak problem.

Might be worth having a look.

What a great suggestion! I have a very minor leak on one jack. I will try this the next time I am at the coach.

Thanks for sharing,

Hello, even though Equalizer Systems do not provide a seal kit, it doesn't mean there's not one available. Having said that, the cost of having it rebuilt will be most likely be close to twice the cost of the new replacement from Equalizer Systems. That's if you could find someone to rebuild it. Last summer I had one rebuilt on a 37' Gulfstream and was close to $300.00. Pretty beefy cylinder though.
Hope this helps!

As a follow up, the EQ leveler on my rig doesn't have any plugs on the opposite side. In talking to EQ, each of my four levelers has a lifting capacity of more than 20,000 lbs. They dont sell an O ring kit, as RField said above, need to replace the whole cylinder, which cost about $800.00. My previous price quote was for a much lower capacity cylinder. Needless to say I'll be visiting my RV repair man.
