New Splendide DV6400X drying problem

Our new coach has a Splendide stackable washer dryer. The dryer Model is DV6400X. When drying on high, the unit only gets warm, not hot. There is no detectable difference in low verses high heat setting.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

One of the 220v breakers is tripped or not set on if it works on 220v.

Interestingly enough, both washer and dryer work off separate 15 Amp breakers.

The dryer is not 220. That's why it takes forever to dry. I can tell a difference between High and Low for sure. But even High is only warm. Nothing like your dryer at home.

Yup, not 240. 120V RV dryers are very slow compared to home 240V units.

The dryer is limited to 1500 watts of the heating element, and the forced-air flow is not extreme.

I have the combination unit and the best drying performance is when setting the timer at either 80 or 120 minutes. The "sensor" is pretty much useless, it will keep going for hours. These are also VERY sensitive to loading, too much and they will never dry properly. Don't fill the drum more than 3/4 of the way up and it will work amazingly.

IMHO These are basically worthless occupying valuable space. In my previous coach, I removed it and put in it's place a 12v/120v 4cuft Danfoss compressor-based freezer.

Totally disagree. We use ours all the time. Wouldn’t own another RV without washer/dryer. Hate using nasty campground laundry.

I'm going to agree here - the only times I'm looking to use outside laundry is either at home, or when / if I need to do large bedding b/c one of the cats yakked on it. Then I'll take advantage of the larger machines at a Pilot or Flying J.... But my clothing / normal stuff is SO MUCH more convenient being able to wash it right in the back of the RV.

Thank you for everyone's input. I reached out to the warranty manager at Renegade, who in turn put me in touch with Westland Sales (Ph: 800-356-0766). Here is what I learned:
1. The combo units we have owned in the past do get hotter than the the DV6400X stackable.
2. The DV6400X has two sensors. One inside the dryer and one in the exhaust of the dryer.
3. If drying a small load (Less than 1/2 full), the sensor in the exhaust will sense clothes are dryer than reality and reduce heat to low.
4. Heater is most efficient when drying 1/2 to 3/4 load.
5. We will be using the coach again next week with full hookups, so I will update the efficiency of drying after that trip..
Thanks
