Outdoor Shower on Classic

Our Verona LE had and outdoor shower, great for rinsing sand off the kids and washing the dogs.

The new rig has only the cold water spray away…anyone rig up something to have hot and cold water with a mixing value?

So the reason the Verona even has the outdoor shower is because it’s the access to the internal shower valve.

On the Classic the access is behind a decorative panel.

My plan is going to be to tie into the PEX lines at the AquaHot (incoming cold, and hot output. Then run into mixing valve with a quick disconnect that I can either hook a shower hose to or a regular hose..then I will have warm water to rinse kids/dogs and hot water to rinse off bugs! I’ll probably have to fab up a mount for the faucet/mixing valve but as I have plumber friends with the PEX tools should not be that and I am thinking.

Thoughts?

The only thing I can think of is that if your new mixing valve failed, the feed water could bypass the AH, leaving you with no hot water in the coach. Probably a remote scenario, though, if you use a quality mixing valve, and easy enough to troubleshoot in any event. Maybe add isolation valves on both lines leading to the mixing valve, just in case?

Thanks Uncle Mike, I ordered some parts and will give this a try. I am going to go overkill and do isolation valves, like you say…in case of some sort of problem or failure don’t want to be without hot water/heat!

Took some pics, I may just place a valve at the cold inlet and hot water outlet, rather than tee into the pex lines.

If you want fittings like the bypass T's, those are AquaLock fittings. The ones down closer to the tank, near the tempering valve, are John Guest SpeedFit fittings.
