It'll be quad-slide and *I believe* all-electric, without a propane option/package. It'll be a step up from the Verona LE, and a step down from the XL lines. If you want a custom floorplan, you'll still go the Classic route.

Thank you. That makes sense based on the MSRP I saw. Are you getting one?

I think we can all agree that marketing isn't Renegade's strong suit...
I saw the first Explorer on the line during a factory visit/tour in mid-November, and had a brief moment to crawl around it. I should have asked more questions, but I was more focused on the Classics. Here's what I saw or heard:
- FL Cascadia 116 (short nose) chassis
- single-axle only
- all 38-40' length range
- DD13+Allison 4000 drivetrain (505/1850)
- short option list like Veronas
- all-electric, no propane package option
- 4 slides
- fixed floorplans (about 3 versions); all mid-entry because of the quad slide arrangement.
- standard full body paint (like Veronas)
- stand-up/aero cab like Veronas. No mention of cab-over bunk option.
- intended to compete head-to-head against Newmar's Supreme Aire, which IMO is an overloaded beast on the M2-112.

No, I'm getting in line for a MY 2022 Classic.

Yeah, I think the Newmar Super C is way too heavy in all configurations for the M2. Too much money as well.
I’d be interested in your Classic ordering process. Congratulations by the way.

Thanks, Paul. I’ll share more in a couple of weeks after I have the process wrapped up. Very close now but don’t want to speak too soon...

Thanks for the info, i have been looking on IWS website, they show they have coming in a 38 foot signature series Classic build on a Cascadia frame. What would be the major difference on the living area potion? Is the Explorer build like a Classic, Verona, XL or Ikon?

From what I’ve seen so far, the Explorer construction is like all the other standard production models: Verona/XL/Ikon (2” Vacuum-Laminated Smooth Gel-Coat Sidewalls). The floor plans are limited and seem to be geared towards couples, not families.

2013 Renegade Explorer
I own a 2013 Explorer, built on a 2012 Freightliner M2 106, with the Cummins ISC 8.3. I bought second hand and could not be happier. This is a no frills coach, options consist of a 38 gallon, center rail mounted propane tank and one additional roof vent. The Explorer, was described to me as a no frills XL, at the Renegade factory. It came off the same custom line as the XL, Custom, and Ikon. The Verona, etc., are all considered “production models”, by the Renegade workers. At the time, it was in production it was called the baby sister to the Ikon. The Explorers were mostly, manufactured with single rear axles and not tandems. My coach is a older coach, with none of the options, in the newer coaches.

I own a 32ft 2014 Explorer built on a 2013 Freightliner M2 106 w/ less than 30K miles on it. Only 3 of these were ever built. I bought it second hand and could not be happier as well. Everything about it is high-quality. It was half the price of the original sold price and I have been upgrading and refurbishing a bit at a time.

Before I bought my LE I saw a few Explorer's that were built on M2 112's with tandems, one of the reasons I didn't buy was those tandems take away to much storage space. And going to a 45 XL was out of my league.

Explorer M2
I am 38’7”, what we really like is the full wall to wall wardrobe against the back wall. I think I saw a coach similiar to yours towing a black Jeep, at Micasaukee Casino outside of Miami, about four, years, ago. Could that have been you? I do like your length, under 36’ really opens up more campground options. We are the second, owner, too. Paid about half of retail, for a like new coach. With less than ten thousand miles and four years, old. I like the M2, 112 with the larger diesels. I don’t need a tandem, I just tow a truck, and don’t expect to tow any trailers, in future.
