Renegade Verona LE Seat Recline/angle

I have spent an hour searching with no results, but I am sure that I read a thread or two where Verona owners were modifying their drivers and passenger seats to tilt them back some so they were not so upright? We weren't 100 miles down the road and my wife was trying to recline the seat or adjust the angle so the seat bottom was not tilted forward towards the dash.
My memory tells me that some were installing spacers under the front seat rail to increase the tilt? But I certainly can't find it now.

Any help would be appreciated...

Solved...

As recommended in another thread, I cut some 1" spacers from Aluminum T6 6061 1" round bar. I then drilled a hole through them that was slightly bigger than the 8mm bolts that attach the front seat rail to the floor. I removed the 8mm x 1.25" bolts and then raised the front rail up about an inch or so and inserted the 1" spacers between the seat frame rail and the floor. I then inserted new 70mm long Grade 12.9 8mm socket head cap screws to bolt the seat frame through the spacer and into the floor. It made a world of difference just adding the 1" spacer. My wife is now very happy with the new seat position as am I.

Wow, $300K and no tilt/recline?

Thanks for the information. That’s a modification I’ll be trying.

I did the same modification as Doug did but utilized square steel stock and placed it where seat base fastens to the seat base (not the floor). 1” tipped the front back nicely and wife stopped complying. Good luck.

This is an easy and great tip. Thanks for sharing. My wife and I will appreciate the comfort modification.
