Too late if they misled me It should be delivered any day now. But, from all the others we actually sat in, the seat and foot rest slide out/forward when reclining and the pivot point for the back moves with the seat bottom forward, hence wall hugging.

I will certainly give a full report within days of receipt. Stay tuned

The love seat arrived 9am this morning. Pleasant surprise that it measure 71" and we will have 1" to spare.

The seats arrive without the backs attached so it will fit through the dooe (after removing the strut at the door bottom.

Almost ready to put in place. The seats weighs over 200 lbs, so better have a strong helper getting it in.

Also, you will need to tap into the 110V line in the slide that feeds the forward outlet in the slide. You will notice it is not my best electrical work

Will have it in it's final position later today.

Ta Da

The seats are in and all working according to the plan

Frank, we had to pull the seats about 2 inches further from the wall to allow the headrest to clear the valances but otherwise it really is a wall huger.

My first thought is - what will you use the bedroom for now?

They look great and a job well done.

Paul,

Can you detail how you remove the original sleeper sofa? I presume it comes out in several smaller pieces in order to clear the relatively narrow doorway.

Kind regards,

Berry

Hi Berry. Please re-read the first message in this thread. Paragraph 4 contains the removal instructions.

The current couch is not too heavy and you can also lighten it further by removing the fold out bed. I didn't and it all came out fine.

Paul,

Thank you for the reminder. Yes, it seems straightforward. I'll be attempting removal of our sleeper sofa prior to the installation of our theater seats by the Lambright factory next week. I'll definitely post pictures when all is said and done.

Regards,

Berry

Berry, did you get your theater seats? What kind did you get and what do you think? Ziggy, what do you think of you seats now that you’ve had them for a while?

Joe, I did indeed get my theater seats installed. Please see the attached pictures.

I purchased the seats from Lambright Comfort Chairs in Shipshewana, Indiana. Apparently they're available at multiple retailers but the Shipshewana location is the actual factory (really, an Amish workshop).

The seats are a perfect fit both physically and visually. They're not far from the Renegade factory so I was even able to obtain a swatch of my fabric from Renegade (thanks Carrie!) during my initial visit (without my Valencia).

My quick thoughts:

- Unbeknownst to me, the sofa was rather uncomfortable while going down the road (I do all the driving). The material is ok, it's just that the backrest sits at a weird "angle"

- Renegade should have made them an option from the factory. I would have even PAID extra to not have the furniture installed and simply had empty space. Removal of the sofa sleeper was easy and the impression of the craftsmanship/quality was underwhelming, to say the least

- There are a myriad of options which range from material choice, to power/manual recline, storage, usb ports, etc. As a result it's best to visit Lambright in person if possible

- The nicest looking chairs aren't necessarily the most comfortable. As a relatively young RV'er I'd consider the style of my seats more akin to something I'd find in my grandparents' abode. But they were hands-down the most comfortable and plush

- The reclined seat in the picture can be fully reclined while the slide is in and going down the road!

- They were pricey. However, the people at Lambright are honest, affable, hard working American Craftsmen and I have no problem giving them my money. They accommodated my *very* busy schedule and had my custom-ordered seats ready and installed for my major road trip

Our stock theater seating has one side that sags and drops forward. The foot rest also will not hold the weight of my legs without heading for the floor. The other side is has a level seat and a leg rest that is stiffer.

My one year warranty expires in October. I have not yet gone in for any warranty work, rather am saving up. What do you think the dealer should do? Is it adjustable or should it be changed out.
