Truma Hot water and paper towels

Got an odd question.

We purchased our 2023 Valencia 38BB a couple of weeks ago and we're struggling to find a space for all of our "essential" camping gear. I found a spot for some extra rolls of paper towels but I'm not sure if it's a safe area.

There's an area under the sink that has a metal(?) box that appears to contain the inner workings of the Truma Hot Water system. I know the Truma heater works off of propane and was wondering if someone knows how hot that metal box/container gets? If it gets hot at all?

There's a space right next to the box for several rolls of paper towels, but they would be pushed against the side of box. I'm thinking that if it gets hot it might ignite the paper towels.

Is this a good or bad idea? Thanks for the help

Get the O&M manual for the Trauma unit and see what it says about clearances.

Rarely do gas or electric appliances reach external temperatures high enough to catch things on fire. But stuffing things up against them can cause different issues that result in hazardous operation.

The manual will usually describe the dangers.
