Water hose reel shear pin? Does it have one??

All,
While retracting the water hose on our 2021 Verona, I heard a loud "pop." The hose stopped retracting but could hear the eclectic motor on the hose reel turning. Has anyone had a similar issue? Does the reel have a shear pin?

It has been constant rain here, so have not attempted to take off the panel in the water bay yet. Not sure just how difficult that will be.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Wayne

Being so new, limited ownership, suspect none here know the answer? Please post your results when you get it figured out. Shear Pin sounds logical, hopefully external, easy to access. Also FIND WHY it sheared?
Good Luck

pin

I have a different brand of coach, but if is same brand as mine it has several pins. They fall out all the time. They make a kit to replace the pins. You can look at my posts and see all the info. Easy to repair. Good luck

safe travels

Thank you very much1 I will do that for sure! I did reach out to Renegade this morning. Evidently this is a Southwire product. They do make a Gear rebuild kit, Part number 1300847 for $74.20. I ordered one, but I will return it if it appears to be a simpler solution.

Thanks again for the input!

Yep. That is it. Little less on Amazon or Ebay but it is what you need.

safe travels

In 2019 when our RV was 16 months old, the electric cord reel broke. The plastic gearing inside, broke. I called Southwire and they sent me a rebuild kit for no cost. The rebuild kit was aluminum gears, took me about 2-hours to fix the reel.
