What is the black "vent" thing?

Looking at Renegade basement compartments, what is the black box on the rear wall of some of the compartments? Looks like a vent or heater of some sort?
Thanks!

Looks like a pass through vent to allow conditioned air into the space. I would expect to see them in all compartments that are closed off on all sides.

On mine, its a cover with a bunch of 12V wiring/busses, etc. behind it.
