Rivian sponsoring public EV charging points in national parks.

Taking a page from Tesla, Rivian is starting to sponsor public chargers in public places like national parks. This is separate from their adventure network as far as I can tell. Kinda nice.

My first thought was, where the heck are they going to put them? Yosemite isn't known for it's great parking options. But the article makes clear that they're at the lodge and up in Tuolumne. That will make them all but useless to the majority of park visitors. I hope they end this nonsense right now. I'm all for electric, but chargers don't belong in Yosemite. One or two as window dressing is fine, but the huge numbers of these things they would need to make them useful would be very inappropriate there.

^^^^Relax. I don't think they'll be competing with you for the same parking spaces.
