19.5 wheel/tire plastic inner fender well splash pan (1996 2x4 Dodge 2500) modification?

I plan on upgrading my tires/wheels to 19.5s. I need to move the plastic inner fender well splash pan about ½-inch to 1-inch to clear the 245 tires. I only need this clearance in the bottom 4-inches of the splash pan.

Has anyone modified the plastic inner fender well splash pan? If so, how?

I considered heat, or even cutting out a section a riveting (or gluing) a patch.

I hope there is clearance behind the pan to allow this modification.

I could use your thoughts so I can "get'ter" done.

I found the answere. If there is any interest, let me know. I can pretty much run whatever tire a 4x4 can run, easly a 245x19.5 16 ply.

No need to post if there is no interest.
