have a used camper with speakers only, where would the radio have been?

The radio or stereo sys may have been in the truck cab and I would guess you didn't buy the truck with slide in. At lease you have half of system and you can put in what you would like. Good luck with your slide and enjoy fixing it up the way you will like. Go to vintage and slidein forums you may get alot of more input to spruce up your slide, just be sure to have FUN. "007"

I am not sure about your model year, my 2000 Elkhorn has the stereo compartment on the drivers side of the overhead bunk compartment. You should be able to see the wires to/ from the speakers where the stereo was planned.
