Its not the down links, but the ends of the bar itself that may have two or three holes in it. Hole at the very end is the longest "arm" and this makes the bar weaker, go to a different hole, and it gets stiffer and stiffer.
This is the F53 Ford motorhome chassis "mod" that everyone does. It has a front anti-sway bar with two holes in it. Called the "cheap handling fix".
Watch this video to see what I am talking about (3 mins), shows clearly the two holes in the end of the bar. (NOT the downrod). Different down rod attachments may change the angle of the attachment to the bar, and thus affect bar function but not substantially.
