We always rode in the camper back in the 60's and 70's, so I had to look it up and see if it's still legal. It's completely legal in all but 5 states (Arkansas,
Maine, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania) and some restrictions in 5 others (California: Passengers must be able to communicate with the driver, the exit must be accessible from the inside and outside, safety glass in the windows, and safety belts installed. Georgia: Passengers must have “free access” to the driving compartment. Hawaii: Passengers must be at least 13 years old. Kansas: Passengers must be 14 years old.)

Are there any campers that come with seat belts?

I doubt it but wouldn’t be hard to install. Honestly, the larger danger is the flying appliances and such within the camper.

I remember running hard in the motorhome one day and needing to stop fast and everything on the counters went flying . A quick lesson in making sure counters are cleared off if it’s not being used.

Class A's and C's have seatbelts, but has anyone honestly seen a truck campers seating area built solid enough for a seat belt? Back in the days of just a standard cab, there wasn't much choice, but today with crew cabs there is no reason not to ride up front.

Some truck campers have RV recliners that can be fitted for belts. I have seen none where this is standard, but dinettes can also be fitted.
