It is my 'opinion' that the things that could possibly go wrong with a modern emissions compliant diesel far outweigh any shortcomings of a gas powered truck.
As a Ram/Cummins owner I have learned about things like "Limp Mode", repair parts wait times, and blindingly expensive repair costs. My last truck was an F250 with a gas engine. Simple, cheap, reliable, and very repairable on the road.
My 2016 Cummins Longhorn gets 11.5 MPG at its best and diesel fuel is typically more expensive than gas so for my light hauling needs (a 3800 Lb camper) you can be sure my next truck will be
gas... and most likely a Ford.
Thank you
