Ohio’s title requirement

I’ve been looking to buy my first truck camper and just learned there aren’t a lot of states that want you to title a truck camper.

I’ve questioned a few of the private sellers if they have a title and none have so far.

How many Ohioans actually title there truck camper and what are the ramifications if a person doesn’t ?

Don't give them any ideas. I suppose because it does'nt have any wheels to cause wear and tear on the roads. A camper, I think, would be personal property. If they tax personal property in your state, then you will be taxed. Again. Don't give them any ideas.

My apologies, I am a resident of Ohio and they already want you to title a truck camper. I was looking for the penalties if it isn't titled.

I am hoping not to give anyone ideas.

Thank you though, you pointed out a penalty for titling it. Tax collection.

I suppose the only other penalty would be if ownership came into question but a notarized bill of sale should solve that. A notarized bill of sale would also suffice to get it tiled (along with an inspection).
