Older truck, newer camper compatibility

My apologies if this question has been asked a gazillion times before but a search did not bring up anything.
Weight aside, are there any other reasons for a mismatch between a 2005 GMC Sierra Crew Cab and a 2010 Travelite 890RX
Thanks
Pam

Year model will not be an issue. The only thing in my mind is is it at least a 2500.

Pay close attention to height of cab roof from bed floor of truck. GM/Chevy tend to have the lowest cabs, Ford the tallest, and Dodge/Ram in the middle. You could end up stacking plywood sheet in the bed to gain the height. Beds on newer trucks tend to have much higher rails, so older campers on newer trucks are a problem but not so much the other way around. Bed width can be an issue also as that varies with years. Its all about trends. One does it, they all follow.
