Here is how I load my camper, just put the ball against the side of the camper if the ball moves away adjust the streering if the ball is getting pushed away ajust it back. I hit the pocket everytime and the first time. Just have the ball follow the camper back then reach in and grab it at about 80% in the pocket.

OK….I’ll bite…..what is the ball sitting on, and where did you find it.

Looks like a great solution.

Thanks for posting.

I might have to do some redneck engineering to get it to stick in my truck (aluminum bed). But given the amount of headache I've been having with loading, I'm willing to try it

Maybe a small steel disc screwed to the floor of the box in the appropriate location for a permanent solution?

Double sided carpet tape, or self adhesive Velcro would also work on a more temporary basis, depending how often you plan on removing the camper.

I’ve also seen a contrasting line painted down the centre of the truck box, with a corresponding line on the front of the camper, but even with the two points lined up, one could still be out of alignment. I like this solution!

FYI, Canucks……The alignment kit is available at Princess Auto for less than $18CDN.

Sorry for any confusion on the post above…I meant I liked the solution of using the alignment kit……not the painted stripe.

Got to thinking... I might see if I have any extra adhesive-backed steel plates, like the ones used for magnetic cell phone & tablet mounts. Some of the bigger ones are a couple inches square, if that'd be big enough.... otherwise they're pretty cheap off of Amazon.
