Rear sideways steps

We have an older camper & tow an enclosed trailer. Does anyone know if anyone manufactues a rear step that would go down to the a-frame of the trailer and then to the ground? Or, a step that angles of to the side of the trailer hitch. I noticed that Arctic Fox have a fold down triangular platform that the steps can be attached to the angled sides and therefore clear the trailer hitch. Any ideas?
Thanks

I hope you have solved your problem. The way I did it was to put another hanger beside the original one. That put the steps to one side but was doable and you could put them below the door when trailer was unhooked.

Thanks for the reply. No, I haven't resolved iit yet. I think I will build a small foldable deck and attach the stairs to the deck to the right side of the trailer hitch.

We just picked up an AF 992 with the "Fox Landing" step... works great! Here's a link to it. Fox Landing: Arctic Fox

Good luck!!

The Fox Landing looks great! I also noticed it exits to the passenger side in case you must stop on the side of the road in a emergency. Looks well thought out and fabricated also.

Vintagercr, can you post a pic of what your bumper underside looks like ? I hear those steps would not retrofit on the previous AF bumpers as the newest have better support to handle the new Fox landing. I wonder if I could add some bracketry to handle the new landing ?

Sorry about no shooting any pictures. By the time I got home it was too dark.

The bumper is a boxed powder coated steel with internal storage for the dump hoses. Didn't look like there is much in the way if extra bracing. But there are welded nuts internally to accept the fox landing. There are about 12 capped threaded inserts used for the fox landing. I'm guessing it might be easier to purchase a new bumper then trying to cut open and retrofit the existing. Unless you have the equipment and tooling to do it yourself.

I'll try to take some pic's tomorrow.
