slides that don't block entry?

Hi all, anyone know of a current model truck camper with a slide(s) that doesn't block the entry door? I've looked a lot and they all seem to interfere with the door when they are 'in'. Cheers!

thanks, that unit looks very cool but the rear slide will completely block the entry door when it's in and I don't want to have to move a slide just to get in to use the bathroom, for example. Cheers!

Just one of the many compromises with slides.

Also, there are so many places where it's not practical to open your slides and I would want to access the camper, I guess a truck camper is not a good fit for me, cheers!

I have a Arctic Fox 990 and I can access the bathroom without moving the slide from it's internal position. Im 5'11" and about 180lbs I can even get inside cabin and and retrieve food or beverages from the refer. Have had my 2019 model for 4 years and haven't noticed any negative issues in opening slide from when I first got it.
I ruled out some manufacturers that had the slide-out on the drivers side as I would never want to open if parked on the street.
I thought having to move the slide in and out when using would be a bg deal to but I never give it a second thought. The benefit far outweighs the hassle.
Good luck on whichever way you go.

The slides on our Host Yukon only take 10 seconds to open.

Yes that rugged mountain camper is nice to a point. H E A V Y and he's got it on a 500 series truck.
No listed price for unit as it's just a prototype and not avaiible to the general public as far as I can tell.
With the headroom in that unit at about 8' I wonder what the overall ht. is when mounted on a rig.
My 990 on my truck comes in at 12'4" from ground to top of AC and that's high enough for me.
The builder seems smart in alot of the design as he's also involved in mini homes and getting the most storage is a priority in those designs.
