It may be worth the 5,400 mile round trip just so I can see that monster rig of yours!

This October, we will be making a loop of UT, NM, AZ and NV - That's a little closer to you (just drop down to I-70 and head west). Last year we made trip out on US 2 all the way to MN before dropping south into WI and then returning I-90.

Wisconsin?
I'll be on the other side of WI this month (without the camper) with the DW in Port Washington... The annual Lions Fishing Derby.
I'm hoping to have at least a 'little' more free time in 2018 and I will make it a point to head west to get a tour of your setup.

We only made it as far east as Madison before we had to start heading back west. This year's trip into the southwest will take us to some more places we have never seen, but it's tough to be working full time yet still get enough time off to see more of our country.

Yes, exactly!
That was the point of my interest in a TC, a relatively 'small' RV.

When I can grab a few days of slack-time I can quickly saddle-up, run out, and get back with minimal fuss. Additionally, if I get caught exhausted out on the interstate, she's small enough to pull into a motel and get a room.
Can't do that with a trailer or anything articulated, be it large or small.

Hopefully retirement will come in early 2018 and I can spend more time camping and less time hi-balling down the interstate & burning up all the fuel.
Regards,
-Ej-

The no-fee registration link is up at: 2018ORRally

On the Saturday of the rally, there will be 200-300 car hot rod show in La Grande. They close down a few blocks at far end of Adams and gather in the Safeway parking lot afterwards.
