Tesla Cybertruck camper has 50 million in pre-orders.

As per the title.

https://electrek.co/2021/04/30/tesla...ion-in-orders/

There used to be a cool video out there showing an animation of the design. Canít seem to find it.

We have ruled it out but know a couple younger couples in town with a cybertruck reservation who are watching.

ďPreorders have continued at a rapid pace and already represents more than $50 million in future revenue.Ē

People havenít given $50 million in cash, they made down payments as little as $100.

Tesla has $50,000,000 of pre-orders for their pickup. or about 500-600 vehicles not 50,000,000 vehicles.

Hmmm ... I guess that some folks will put down a deposit on, or buy ... anything. A label for them might be "guinea pigs".

I think a lot these types of deposits are place holders. Eg, once itís out and you can see it and touch it then you can decide if you like it. If not, get your x amount of dollars back. I think that is the case with the Cybertruck as well.

I believe it was only $100 so a large part of those folks probably won't end up actually buying one. I see where the Model S & Y base prices have gone up $3000 since Feb.

Tesla has ditched refundable $1,000 reservation fees and $2,500 order deposits, which were required to order its cars previously, and instead will now charge a $100 non-refundable order fee, according to updated language on its web site.

$100 to hold your place in line? Iíd rather use the money for a nice dinner. I donít make interest free loans.
