We once stayed at a motel/RVpark in Havre, MT on East end of town. During the night I discovered a simple wooden privacy fence separated the RV park from the RR switch-yard. That was before we learned to sleep with a white noise machine running.

I noticed they did not charge you $.25, for the full "Magic Fingers" experience!

You want trains? Camp at Blanding Landing COE campground on the Mississippi in Illinois. Literally a freight about every 10 minutes, right next to the campground. It quiets down a bit at night but not much. To make matters worse there are a few crossings nearby, so the horns are constantly going.
After a day or two you get used to it. Even the cat got so she ignored it.

There's a RV park in Amarillo thats at the end on a runway, between I-40 and tracks.
We almost stayed in that park in Havre. It's also next to a rail freight yard and a busy 4 lane city street.
The definition of a rv park is "next to a railroad crossing"
We always find them too late to move.

Many Mansions RV park in FL should be renamed "Many close trains day and night"

Deception Pass State Park in Washington, where the Navy practices night carrier landings at nearby Whidbey Island Naval Air Station.

That’s the sound of freedom, as a Canadian I love it.

My dad took me and my brother on a fishing trip to the Chesapeake Bay in the early 70's. We had an Apache tent camper and stayed at a marina along the bay. They had some spots we could put the camper along the tracks. I swear the camper would get sucked along when the trains went by.
