On a motorcycle ride going past a reservoir known for several birds of prey living in the area, I ran into this not-so-intimidating warning:

The Deception Pass Bridge sign is a very serious one. The bridge was built during the CCC days and has narrow traffic lanes with pedestrian walkways alongside. The walkways are fenced from the traffic lanes. There are lots of sightseers on the bridge, many of them taking photos.
18-wheelers with large mirrors are a real hazard, since the mirrors hang out a long way. Getting smacked in the back of the head by a 50,000 pound truck doing 30 mph can give you more than a headache!

I've seen similar on the 91 in Riverside. First there is a sign saying Corona is several miles away. Less than a mile later is the sign saying Corona City Limits.

Fort MacLeod, Alberta, Canada
This is a historical provincial park named for a cliff that the natives used to chase buffalo over and then gather them up for their meat supply.
