Hand anyone under 30 a slide rule ; and tell them they'll have know how to use it when the internet goes down and step back and watch them panic.

Recall using our first 'touchscreen' at work.

It had a lightbeem at the side, and top, that determined where your finger was on the screen!

Good old days !!

My first "digital" clock radio had numbers printed on little plastic cards and arranged on spools like a Rolodex and they would slowly turn and the numbers would flip over and drop on top of the previous one.

I went through electronics school using slide rules. Started with plastic ones and worked up to a "Post Versalog". The first "calculator" I had used nixie tubes for the display. How many remember how a nixie tube worked?
