In Indiana you have to drive in the left lane .because you get beat to death in the slow lane.

10-4 on that! Indiana is the crossroads of America, as our interstates show.

Jan 2020 AZ finally passed a 'left lane' law
Left lane is for:
Passing, right lane closed for construction

Don't camp out in left lane EVEN if going the posted speed limit

Just try hanging out in the fast lane on the autobahn in Germany! Flashing headlights start a quarter mile back.

Unplanned stole my thunder! If you survive going too slow in the fast lane on the Autobahn the ticket for doing so should cure you.

Washington actually enforces the law on impeding traffic in the left lane, or at least they have emphasis patrols on it from time to time. It's not walking onto the freeway to protest whatever cause happens to be near and dear that they don't enforce.

But getting back to the left lane rules, the impeding traffic rule doesn't apply to a HOV lane that is on the left side.

HOV is not a 'passing lane'

But in CA you see folks jumping in/out of HOV all the time

Having 10 years in Europe (6 in Germany) I agree with above. For a year or so I had a Maserati sedan and used to cruise it at about 110MPH. That was not fast enough to stay in the left lane. Once while doing my leisurely 110MPH I gave way to a Jaguar XKE going much faster than I. It was followed by a Police car in a Porsche. The Porsche won.

If the roads are crap in left lane I stay in right lane. If you have an issue with that call the state and complain. HDT have destroyed many highways and the states are doing a crappy job spending our tax dollars. Why in the world should I beat the [Mod Edit] out of my rig for hours at a time? Safe travels

Enjoy the journey

The issue is not about moving to the left lane to smooth out the ride. It's about "parking" in the left lane like you own it and refusing to move to the right when you are impeding faster moving traffic. Cars do that also and it really ticks me off. But that practice is particularly egregious in an RV when nearly 100% of the time you are slower than the traffic around you. Safety on the interstates is significantly supported by everyone doing what is expected, so that we can each anticipate what's required as we travel along. With left lane "parking", right lane passing starts to happen and things break away from what's expected and anticipated. I understand trying to avoid rough pavement, but if you move left, you need to keep an eye on your rear view and give way when faster traffic is approaching. Refusing to give way is nothing but selfish, and potentially dangerous.
