Marriage

Marriage is like a deck of cards. It starts out all Hearts and Diamonds, and then, after a while, all you want is a Club and a Spade!

My wife and I have been married for 86 years!! That's 43 for her and 43 for me.

We have been happily married for 39 years, and 39 out of 43 is a darn good average!!

My uncle lost his first wife to an auto accident. During the 18 months he was widowed, he said, "Marriage is GREAT institution ... if you like living in an institution!"

Sadly my wife provided her own club.. We purchased a used jeep.. At the time we both really liked the car (today I'm not so thrilled with it, but I have a Neon now I like) and they could not put the tow bars on it right away.

Well she's following me campground to campground.. Lost control and hit a tree at about 50 mph.

Not what I expected to happen... OH well.. Accepting applications for a replacement.. not to interviews yet though. only been 2 years.

Well, I'm not looking for a replacement but my wife of 29 years was diagnosed with liver cancer a couple months ago. First chemo was last month and another next month. Not liking what I'm finding out about this cancer and survival statistics!

We got married in 2003.
She almost clubbed me when she heard me say to my friend:

"It's been a not too bad of a year. I started a new job, bought a new house, but married a used wife. "
Sometimes the best things come slightly used. 😏

Mr D. The problem with liver cancer is the chemo has to be ultimately removed b the liver and that is very hard on the liver. My DW had breast cancer in 2000 and the same strain came back in her liver in '14. We would have been married 55 years. (all happy)
