OK that's cute.

My first was from IBM for my business in 1986. 3 MB, 3 platter hard drive for $2,800 then all the other stuff I needed totaled was right at 4.5K.

Remember this guy? (see below)

All your troubles from now on will go away. Your business will sail along like the ocean breeze and no more working long weekends doing your books the old fashion way. Run your business like the big boys and get on board. "Introducing the FUTURE of doing business".

Now 30 something years later, we need Life Lock, fire walls, VPN, password managers, worry about the dark web, getting hacked, identity theft, the Cloud...what the heck is that and where is it.. and so many more incredible digital wonders.

I'm so glad I made the switch.

My first computer was in 1982 before IBM came out with theirs it had a 10 MB hard drive and cost well over 4K. It paid for itself in one year as it replaced person in the office. My accountant told my it was stupid to buy one with that capability as I would never fill that hard drive in my lifetime. Well it was considered the Cadillac of computers at the time and ran on dos most people donít even know what that is. Our month end would take more than 24 hours to finish daily backup takes at least 30 minutes before gong home. Never regretted buying it found it very useful.

My first was a Radio Shack TRS-80 Model I. Serial Number 0007 (albeit, used).

Got interested as my Air Force job exposed me to a IBM 360. Big as two refrigerators, external tape drives, pizza oven type hard disks, no cathode ray display (only a Selectric typewriter with tractor-fed paper), and punch cards.

Pursued it only as a hobby, but it has paid off over the years as I understand what is happening under the hood.
