Never a video camera handy when needed

My wife and I are park hosting, and today while driving around in the golf cart I saw a guy sitting in a pickup hooked to a large bumper pull. There was a large slide out, and another man appeared to be attaching or removing the fresh water hose. While we were watching the guy in the pickup suddenly started pulling out of the spot. The guy with the hose was yelling for him to stop, so my wife and I frantically started waving our arms and yelling as well. He pulled out about ten feet, stopped, and started scowling at us like we'd lost our minds and said "I'm just moving it over a little." I said that the hose was attached, and I thought he was going to pull if off. He again said that he was fine and knew what he was doing, so we left him to it. The last we saw he still jerking it back and forth with the slide out and the hose spewing water like crazy.

We've seen some weird stuff when hosting, but that one takes the cake.

You need to carry a cell phone with a decent camera on it for times like this, especially if he had damaged campground property doing it "his way". About 95% of the RVers I've met are decent, intelligent and appreciate a little help. We know which group this guy falls into.

You are right about that. We've met some of the most pleasant people here, but some of them .....

EdInArk......

If you and your wife donít have a cellphone with a camera (and almost all have video also) you are a bit of a dying breed 😉

In your position as being a park host.....itís a must have. Youíre going to see things that only youíll have the opportunity to witness, and without a camera youíll never be able to share it with us. 🤪

Remember.....a picture is worth a thousand words.......at least.

LOL ...
Actually, I do have an iPhone and should have used it. I use it to snap photos often but just never think of it as a video camera.
