I used to post a link to mice repellent myth busterwebpages within pest control companies websites, but some folks got downright indignant. They would rather believe a as seen on TV add.
FWIW, my mouse repellent is TomCat.

To get this thread back to the topic of Pest Control Failed . . . .

I present another example of failed pest control.

"Mouse? You woke me for a stupid mouse? Who cares?!"

I had conversation with my deadbeat mouse control cat, telling him if he isn't going to patrol the house for pests, the least he could do is keep an eye out for them entering the structure. Ge got up grumbling and chose a vantage point at the back door that faces the field.

When I told him that wouldn't do, that's he'd have to go outside and patrol, he got up and begrudgingly went out his cat door and started his stakeout on the back porch.

Reminds me of trying to get a teenager to go out and do yard work.

More failed pest control.

Is she for hire? The last meal (before it bit the dust stuck to a TomCat sticky trap) a mouse-y had in my coach was here.

What a pretty mouse trap!!! I have one (calico) and she was excellent for years but getting older, like me, and think she's gone into retirement. Still the best traveling buddy from the city to the farm and back. Where she "adopted" me nine years ago.

I know what you mean. I bought all kinds of electronic mouse/pest control devices. Think they used them as lullabies to rock their varmint children to sleep. Glue traps and poison seem to be the only guaranteed deterrent.

My pest control. What’s left of a mouse is in the right talon.

We have been using rodent bait stations around the outside of the camper and some blocks inside. It's worked for us for years. Currently we store in a barn in a field. Lots of mice. My bait stations hold 8 bait blocks and I refill at least once each fall.

DW still puts Dow bounce sheets.

Also I heard oil of one of the mints on cotton balls on dishes.

We had very good luck we it bait stations. If they are dead they can't make a mess.
