I'm very happy (??) to acknowledge that all my tools are working as described. My oxy/acet torch has also been known to ignite pant legs.
Pretty amazing that so many people have had the same experiences with these tools. I guess that's what makes it so funny.
Thanks for posting.

I appreciate all of comments made. It looks a lot of us has had the same experience in using power tools.
Drills are mentioned but years ago I remember using a borrowed corded 1/2 drill with handled to put a hole in the chrome bumper of a 1970 Chevy Chevelle for a hitch.
The owner said be careful as it has a lot of torque. I drilled a 1/4" pilot hole and started the drill with a 1/2 " bit in it. The drill turned at about 15 rpm. When it caught, it jerked the drill out of my hands, wrapped the cord completely around the drill and when the handle hit my leg it knocked me off the 5 gallon pail I was sitting on. I can still feel the pain in my arm and shoulder.

Lathe ( any type) a device that allows one to take something that is too large and make it too small while making a huge mess.

Since we've been married my wife has never experienced any of those power tool problems.
She leaves that to me😀

Corded hedge trimmer: a tool I use frequently to remove its own cord.
See: Honey-Please-Fix-Stuff-I-Break list. :-)

Carpenters level.
A device often used after something as been affixed in place such that it cannot be altered to indicate it is not level
