The snake problem

Zeke owned a large ranch in Texas, but he had a problem with snakes. He told a friend who was a veterinarian about the snakes, that they were causing a lot of trouble with his cattle. He told him. ”So far none of the snakes have bit my cattle but they sure spook them and I can’t find anything to get rid of them.” His friend said, “What you need is a mongoose.” “A what?” Zeke said? “What is a mongoose?” His friend replied, “It’s an animal that is an enemy of snakes. One of them will take care of your snake problem.” He told Zeke how to buy a mongoose, and Zeke thanked him and immediately went to his ranch and wrote a letter to the mongoose supplier. “Dear sir, please send me two mongooses at once.” That didn’t sound right, so he tried again. “Dear sir, please send me two mongeese at once.” That still didn’t sound right, so he gave it one last attempt: “Dear sir, please send me one mongoose. And while you’re at it- send me another mongoose.”
