WHY???

Why are they called pork spare-ribs? What happened to the necessary ribs?

The reason is when you have a couple of ribs, you only need one to be called spare.

Obviously they could spare them for you to eat, otherwise you would not possess them. So, they're spare ribs. All the necessary ribs are in use!

Why do long sleeve shirts have 7 buttons down the front and most short-sleeve shirts 5?
