1'st Motorhome, 1'st Time Out-The Vineyards

OK, we're like kids at young in our new-to-us MH.
We were going to wait until we retired to buy one, but found one that has so many things we wanted that we had to buy it now. 2007 Winnebago Sightseer 29R. It's been over a hunderd degrees many days here in North TX, and should be this weekend too but we're going anyway to the Grapevine TX Vineyards campground...have our spot all picked out and reserved. We live just across from it, can see the campground from our back yard so it's not a long distance weekend, but even though it will be over a hundred degrees and 90+ at 10:00 at night, we still going, and are taking a little firewood for the ambience of our first time out. The Admiral is arranging new things and stuff in the coach tonight...she's having fun...we've rented before so this is not our first time out but our first time in OUR own coach!!

Hopefully we'll spend many weekends across the pond at the Grapevine Vineyards campground.

Congrats on the purchase. I've read really good things about Grapevine Vineyards. It's a place we want to go some day. I've been to Grapevine a couple of times and really like the town. My wife has never been there.

That first night out is really something, almost like a first date. It's only been a couple of years since we started RVing, so that memory is fresh. Our second trip was 3400 miles, a bit over our heads, but we had fun. There was so much to learn. We're not over that honeymoon stage. We get out for a couple of weeks every month.
