Does anyone have any recommendations for a family oriented campgrounds 8 to 10 hours from pittsburgh pa area? My kids love frontier town in Maryland but I don't want to keep going back every year I want them to experience different places.

If you want to go to New England, the best family campground I've ever seen in Normandy Farms in Foxboro, MA. I think it's like ranked one in New England and one of the top 10 in the USA. It's a little pricy but you do get what you pay for. Here's a link to their website. http://www.normandyfarms.com.
Happy trails...

Rock Island state Park in Tennessee. Took my family last year for the first time. Going back next summer. Tons of trails to hike, lots of awesome waterfalls and our favorite part was jumping off the cliffs. All different sizes for everyone. Little kids can jump 2 feet off into the water while other dare Devils can jump.from as high as 35 feet. That was the most fun for us. Absolutely beautiful park and only 22.50 a night. Room for big trailers or tents

Gettysburg and a history lesson is only 185 miles from you.

It is what it is, and then it is what you make of it.
Thanks for the info, we are more wilderness people than city folk so the hiking sounds good. We did ocean lakes 2 years ago that place is busy but nice.
