You are correct twogypsies Jacob Lake is not a state park, it's USFS. We have reserved a site there for a few days to just kick and relax for a bit. Probably from there we will drive to the north rim one day.

There's a beautiful Glen Canyon Nat'l Rec Area campground on 89A east of Jacob Lake before Page, AZ. Lee's Ferry

Yes Traveldawg, we do like the State Parks, we stay in them as often as we can. We have made reservations in Page Az. for a few days while there we plan to make sightseeing day trips to some of the sites you mentioned as well as other sites in that general area.

We already have made reservations at Page Lake Powell CG. We will need to refill our water tank and dump the holding tanks by this time. Thanks twogypsies we will make note of Glen Canyon for future reference.

Here’s a suggestion:

Park the rig at the North Rim lodge parking area, and book yourself a cabin for the night. A little change of pace, mid trip. Also go ahead and treat yourself to dinner at the lodge (covid permitting) and enjoy some hiking in the morning. A very pleasant stop, and if you’re staying in a cabin, or at the lodge for that matter, parking right there should be no problem.

North Rim lodging:
I don’t see any mention of the cabins. Maybe they are no longer offered. But this is the lodging link:
