We just returned from 3 weeks thru 9 countries in a rented Dethleffs I1 6m A Class motorhome. We picked up the motorhome in Germany then drove thru the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Lichtenstein, and Switzerland. We spent the last 2 days in London that we traveled to by bus and the ferry and back to Brussels on the Eurostar train and the tunnel. 5800km and four major cities, Paris, Barcelona, Venice and London. Camp grounds were very nice and the highways great.

John:

It certainly sounds like a great adventure. How big was the motorhome? Was it diesel or gasoline powered? Got any great pics you can share?

It was a 20 ft Class A, diesel with 6 speed manual transmission. It was built on a Fiat Ducato chassis. We had wanted two beds we could leave made up as we had our daughter with us. There was on double be across the back and one that pulled down over the front seats. Worked extremely well. We averaged 22.40 mpg for the whole trip and fuel was about $5.00/gal. We have a lot of pictures that I will be posting when I get time.
