Good luck! We just returned from a 10 week cross country trip (11,000) miles. It makes you realize what a beautiful country we live in. Enjoy!

Well I stayed the first two nights in Timberland lakes campground in Jackson NJ. This was the worst campground I have ever seen let alone stay in. The seansol site across from me had a old camper in it with four tents and the whole thing was covered with blue tarps. And that was one of the better sites. I was told that they were pet frendly but you were not allowed to walk your dog off you're camp site so I had to take her in the truck out of the campground . I only went to NJ because of a family party. We should unbolt the bridges and let NJ float away.

Just asking because of your user name but did you work on Tugs? My fiancé has been shipping for over 25 years. We live in MD but he works out of NYC? Also good luck on finding a retirement spot. I love the Carolina's myself.

Spent 3 nights in Front Royal VA at the Front Royal RV Campground. It was a X KOA it was clean and the people that were running it were frendly. Had some distant lighting storms that made the 4th of July fireworks look like a sparkler.

Three nights at the Stantoun/Wallnut Hill KOA that is a very nice and clean campground. The view from my site was breathtaking every one was very pleasant. My new truck is pulling fine and I am getting about 13mpg avg.

Thumbs down

Well spent 2 nights in Salem VA at the Dixie Caverns all I can say is I stayed one night to long. It is one of those road side tourist traps never did look at the caverns. The woman that checked me in was very nice, trash was picked up and bath house was clean. The campground grass was overgrown and very smal sites cable was snowed. I won't go back.

Had a very nice stay in Mount Airy NC at the Mayberry Campground. Wide open sites nice water, sewer and elect hook ups. All the roads and sites are crushed marble. When you pull in Thayer let you pick your owne site thay tell you if there is a cone or chair in the spot it is taken.
I parked on one of the higher areas har a nice view and was the only person in there. Luther arrears had small groups in theme. There is no pool or store to Speke of. The laundry room (shead) is open 24 hours and very clean.
Thay were very frendly and helpfully at check in you are given info about what to see and were to go.this is a nice place to stay and what I hear is planed will be a great place in the future.
The one down fall is you are next to the hi way so you hear trucks pass but it is bearable. I will be stoping here on the way home.

O found a house to put on the short list that makes 2 now.

This is now a very nice campground to stay in pool is nice sites are clean and thay are very helpfully. I stayed at the top of the camp ground this time. There is a nice pull thru that has a deck right on the lake site #25. This is a nice campground and will be back.

Sorry i left Statesville NC and went up to Asheville NC and stayed at the big bare RV resort had a nice site and looked at a lot of homes. Had to leave in a hurry my wife got sick at home. Made it from Asheville to Wilmington De in 10 hours pulling the trailer. She is ok now ad we took a short trip to relook at some of the houses we ended up buying a home in Mount Airy NC. The trailer is and has been at the Mayberry camp Ground for the last month. I will be there for the next two mounths while I work on the house. If you come by stop in and say HI.

Wednesday night I moved into the house it is not done but able to live in it now. My 6 week trip turned into a 7 month stay in my RV. I am taking the Trailer to the dealer today as I have bought a new 5er. Ordered a new Columbus 320RS it will be in in about 7 weeks.
