Advice for March trip down south?
We're in the beginning phases of planning a trip over spring break, 2018, from Michigan to any place WARM! We really don't want to go much farther than 20 to 24 hours......but some of our NON camping family may join us. Therefore, we'd LOVE to find an RV park near a hotel, cabins, etc. We usually are looking for activities to occupy grandchildren, ages 3 to 10. Ideas???

Pretty much any place south and west of the Miss River has been in the 70's and 80's for the last month. I have been working outside in shorts and T-shirt the last 3 weekends. There's no cold weather in the future forecast.

Hi Born2RV,
Go to
Find a KOA Campground | KOA Campgrounds and take a look at the choices in Florida. KOAs have cabins for those without an RV. One can reserve online way in advance of arrival. Florida has a lot to do with the Gkids.

One of my favorite Florida campgrounds in Beverly beach campground, it's 20 miles or so north of Daytona and your RV is on the water. They also do have a few small cabins but being spring break they could be rented already.
I think it's a 13-14hr drive from where I live, Dayton OH

Gulf Shores State Park or any RV park in Gulf Shores, Alabama would be ideal for you.

How about Myrtle Beach, SC. Plenty of campgrounds & hotels, and something to do for all ages that won't break the bank like Disney or Universal.

Good area for snowbirds but little to do for kids that time of year.
