You can expect biting flying insects in Florida anytime before the first freeze of the season kills them off. In The Orlando area of Central Florida, the first freeze is usually very late December or early January. South Florida doesn't typically freeze so you will most always have some biting bugs outdoors, especially near water. I always keep a screen enclosure in my RV for Florida camping ... I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
