Albq Balloon Fiesta .. RV site prior to Oct 3

I will be going this year to the Albq Balloon Fiesta..

I have reservations for Oct 3-12 at the Adventure Caravans Tour site
water/elect.

I will probably be driving from Gallup to Albq. but will be getting to the
Albq area Oct 1-2, so need a couple nites somewhere. Worst case stay
in Gallup and leave early On Oct 3 and drive the 150 miles to the Fiesta.

Has anyone been there "early" and where do you stay. I've called a few
places that are full or require minimum 3 day stays and they have really upped their rates.

I know there will be so many RV's doing the same, but would appreciate
you info/experiences. Maybe a place 40-50 mile radius might have more
opportunity for a site.

Tks,
Dy
Northern Calif.

Here's the RV parking site:

The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta - RV Information

If you have reservations at the site itself you can come in early Mon-Thurs before the Fiesta begins for half price.

Or you could boondock at Sandia Casino nearby or any of the other casinos in the area. Have a great time. We'll be there, too, and will be crewing!
