Allstays
Ve been using an application called Allstays Camp and RV...It seems very complete in terms of listing independents and public grounds...Anyone else have experience with this app or has another favorite?

We have it as one of our "favorites" on our computer but their listings are somewhat sparse at best. It would be better if they had more campground listings.

Allstays Camp & RV Smartphone App
I tried to reply to an old thread (found here) rather than create a new thread on a subject that already exists. I really wish the moderators would allow iRV2 forum members to override the "old thread you can't reply." For instance, tell the person who is posting that it's an old thread and the information may be out of date.... Do You Still Want to Reply Yes or No
So, on to the subject/question at hand.
Allstays Camp & RV is going strong. I'd like to hear from people who use the web site and people who use the smartphone app.
I've tried the web site from home several times this week while doing some trip planning. The web site is useful but it's a little hard to navigate since the map portion is very small and I seem to have to do lots of "going back" to see where I came from and to change the filter criteria.
I've not purchased the smartphone app but I'm giving it some consideration. At $10 the smartphone app is a little pricey but many people have said it's worth it. We currently use other apps such as Woodalls, AAA, and other camping apps - all of which are free. By using all of them in concert we get the job done. Will the Allstays app be sooooo gooood that I don't need the other apps any longer?
What are your thoughts?

It is one on my most useful iphone apps. Not only does it do a great job of locating camp grounds, but it also finds some really obscurr truck stops and other non-traditional stopping places.

Howdy!
I purchased the android app for my tablet which I also use as our GPS. The app works great and directs me to the Co-Pilot map app I use with the GPS. The app also loaded no charge to my android phone so I can use it on both the phone and tablet.

I have an iphone 4s and have the Allstays app that shows an Airstream trailer and a red tent. The app says Allstays Camp & RV and was free. It is the only Campground RV app that is the most complete.

I have it on my I-pad and use it all the time. Along with Google maps and my 5510 GPS, everything is pretty much covered!

I find it difficult to complain about a $10 app while keeping a straight face. That's probably the cheapest item one could purchase to do with camping! I use the app all the time.

I don't think it will work. I think a netbook works like a PC. In which case you can simply use the web version of Allstays. Check them out at www.allstays.com and then look for the Camping information.
The web version is free.
