Got to Devil’s Tower KOA. Hooked up by 3:30. Last 705 miles, two fuel stops, averaged 8.8 mpg...tailwinds.

Hot time on the 16 mile grade out of Baker, CA...109 degrees, AC off after awhile, and heater on for the last 5 miles...that will be etched in my memory for some time. Got a warning from info center, 220 degrees, but no loss of power or engine warning lights. Needle near, but not in red.

Cooled off in Beaver, UT...mid 80’s and 56 degrees in am. Uneventful temp issues afterwards.

Did have service, oils, filters, etc prior to leaving. Belts, hoses, radiator all checked and looked good.

Tomorrow Custer’s Gulch CG for two nights, about 110 miles away, with Saturday being our tour day with the toad.
