Any campground suggestions on the Ohio River?

Heading back home to WI from the Rally via West Virginia and looking for a campsite on the Ohio River for tomorrow night, Thursday. Any suggestions? I find a Sandy Springs in Stout but can't find much about it. Just wondering. We'd love to camp by the river and watch the barges go by along Hwy 52. Thanks

can I interest you in changing you route to an Indiana campground west of Cincinnati. if so, look-up Little Farm on the River in Rising Sun, Indiana.
(812)438-4500 about 20 miles west of I-275 & 30 miles south of I-74.

all sites are level, 50amp & water. the back-in sites are directly on edge of river bank. pull-thrus you can see boats but just take a chair over & sit on bank. I'll give you some site #s

back-in 130 thru 152

pull-thru 133 thru 153

if by chance these are filled (I doubt it) just request a riverfront site, the upper campground is far from river.

if you didn't spend all your money in Pigeon Forge (you were on 216 & we were on 170) Rising Star casino (a real riverboat) is rite next door with a buffet style supper. they'll pick you up or drive over. they have a huge parking lot ( rv'rs stay in it but no hookups).

hope you enjoyed thr Rally---- Tracy & Dickson did a super job.

have a safe trip home

We stayed at Wolfords Landing this summer it was a good stop over. Railroad close by but wasn't an issue...of course we had a/c on. They let us wash MoHo as well, friendly local folks. Pizza next door was good as well. 6888 E Front St
Portsmouth, OH 45662
(740) 776-9956 I'd stay again. Good luck.
