They have made some inprovements to Myrtle Beach SP. We rode through there will staying at Ocewan Lakes last week. Sewer at most if not all sites, paved roads and trimmed some trees back. The deadly 'roof smasher' on the entrance road has been taken down. Lady at the gate said they have WiFi now. I don't know about that part. Sites are still dirt and there are still trees/greenery making the sites narrow. The airport still has it's take off/landing pattern right over the park.
We have stayed there several times in the past, but if it rained the dirt splattered the tires and side of the coach and added anoter chore of cleaning them up.
Ocean Lakes is still our choice however.

I am about to hold a Rally at Ocean Lakes for approximately 90 rigs and I would be challenged to deliver the same level of amenities in any other campground in Myrtle Beach.

Ocean Lakes has been our favorite campground in the Myrtle Beach area for many years.

There are over a half dozen other campgrounds in the area that you can stay at from KOA to the Passport America Campground, Briarcliff. In-line with Ocean Lakes is Pirateland and Lakewood.

There is also excellent camping at Huntington Beach state campground in Murrell's Inlet.

Willow Lakes in Longs, SC is inland and somewhat priced the same as an ocean front campground "less" the ocean.

Apache Campground has a great fishing pier.

Okay...we stayed at OL...and had a nice spot on the beach...I have been curious about something..several places like OL discount people for getting old but have no discount for military...this was the most expense place I have ever stayed.
