Arkansas location central to Hot Springs & Crater of Diamonds

We are thinking about a trip to Arkansas in Mid October. Would like a location easily accessible to Hot Springs and Crater of Diamond SP. Any suggestions as to locations and campgrounds would be appreciated. We will be out exploring the area every day as we have never been in this area before. We don't need anything fancy, just a nice clean park, preferably with full hook ups.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Crater of diamonds SP campground has full hookups.
About 1 1/2 hours from hot springs.
Lots to choose from in hot springs but Catherine’s Landing is the premier campground in the area.
Big level pull throughs full hookup, salt water pool, boat rental, et.
Don’t know of much between your two points mentioned.
Enjoy.

you can make your reservations at crater of diamonds online.
then call them and ensure they know how long you are so you dont get a small spot, its an old park and the spots are a bit on the short side, but manageable, we got our 40 foot bus in, but had both front wheels very light on the ground to get us level.

digging in the dirt is fun and the VERY cold water on the equipment wash rack will cool you off

A third for Catherine's Landing. Just get good directions. There is a low bridge on their road.

There is a campground in the town next to the park in I think the town is called Murphysville. The park is small but very friendly. The host will let you use the equipment needed for diamond mining. He will also show you how to look for diamonds. I think it is a better place than the state park. Good luck. Just make sure to make reservations
