Asheville NC with a group

We are considering putting on an event in the Ashevlle NC area, and am looking for an RV park/campground recommendation if someone has one.

The group will probably consists of 20-25 Rv's, which vary from smaller class B's and Airstreams to a couple of 45 foot class A's.

We would be there slightly later to avoid the busiest times.
Probably anywhere from mid September up to late October.

The group is more real world than RV Resort types -- just a decent campground (sorry if that offends someone)

We are typically there anywhere from 5-8 days depending upon what events we plan.

This recommendation is just to start the planning -- we would be contacting the RV park about reserving for a group well in advance.

thanks -- Dale

bear creek

bear creek is a good place to start. that time of year especially Oct is really tight. i would call right away and see if anything is available. they are good at handling this type of thing as they have a nice building you can meet with your friends. they handle a lot of groups that come back annually. they are very close to town . good people. don't wait too long to set reservations. good luck and safe travels. tell them richard recommended they are friends of mine

Remember, once you get into Oct. the leaf lookers will be in full force....crowded roads and busy campgrounds. Booking now, you might have a chance.

I could be wrong, but don't see any way that a group of 20-25 RV's could be together at Mama Gerties. Park looked fine though.
