We plan on being in the Bar Harbor Maine area in late July 2022- what are the top 2 or 3 campgrounds in the area with ocean views??
Happy Trails

Stayed here last June, ocean front site, on the way “Down East” - municipal park, low rates, very nice:
https://www.freeportmaine.com/winslo...and-campground Freeport and the L.L. Bean store are just a couple miles away.
Also stayed here - just east of Belfast, 50 miles west of Bar Harbor:
https://mooringscamp.com/
it was around $100/night for ocean front but nice views and good tide pool access. Then drove through Bar Harbor (didnt stop there) and stay here after (also very nice views, quiet, pleasant):
https://www.acadiaseashorecamping.com/ A 32 mile drive from BH headed east, about 7 miles across the bay.
This is 10 miles from BH - didnt stay there but would have if it meshed well with my itinerary:
https://www.barharborcampingresorts....amping-resort/
Also a KOA just west of there.
Further east, can reccomended this at Lubec (cash only, reasonable rates):
https://www.sunsetpointrvpark.com/
And this at East Port:
https://eastportmaine.com/ Bald Eagles nesting here were a treat!
Between Belfast and Bar Harbor, we drove right be this but didnt know to stop:

I learned about it later. Wish I had stopped just to look around. Maybe some day....

The best campsite in Bar Harbor / Acadia
Is site 615 at the Narrows Too Campground
We parked at that site for 10 yrs
Here is a short video of the site.
Good luck getting it.
https://youtu.be/eZWx4qlxdPM
Another one https://youtu.be/KwI1xqLFz3I
We would reserve 2 yrs in advance back when they allowed it.
Prices are up too, big time.
2019 I paid $119/night, plus the $4 resorts fee.
In 2011 it was $70/night

We stayed at the Oceanside KOA Holiday and had a nice water front site a couple years back. Good location for both Bar Harbor and Acadia.
About 4 years ago we stayed at MainStay Cottages & RV Park. This is near Winter Harbor, about 30-45 minutes to Bar Harbor. This is a small park with all sites overlooking the water and crab boats. Awesome views and outstanding hosts.

Mainstay was on my short list but we ended up further Down East. Next time - Winter Harbor looks like an attractive place to visit.

We have stayed at Narrows Too the past 13 years for the month of July. Some sites are waterfront, some water view and some just plain old sites. All are FHU and big rig friendly, some of the waterfront sites are very close to your neighbor. It's about 7 miles to Acadia NP and a few more miles to Bar Harbor. We will be back July 1.

We stayed at Bar Harbor Campground in September of this year.
https://www.thebarharborcampground.com/
It's a little different from the others in that they don't take reservations or credit cards (they do have an ATM in the office). A few sites have a view of the water, but those are tough to snag. You can easily walk to an area of the property that has very nice water views. The sunrise is awesome.
We managed to get a water/sewer site by arriving early on a Sunday. The water and sewer sites seem to stay full, but when we were there they had plenty of no-hookup sites available (though not all big rig friendly). Little or no screening between many of the sites. Their prices are very reasonable considering the location.

We also stayed at Narrows Too with a group tour this fall. It is a nice campground, and we stayed on an interior site. It's fairly close to all the Bar Harbor attractions. We paid about $67/night with our group rate.

Narrows Too - on the water. It was expensive, but worth it. There was one night when the campground had a program that showed how to cook and eat a Lobster. It was ummm good.

We recently stayed at the Schoodic Woods part of Acadia NP. Great campsites. No crowds. Took the ferry that departs Winter Harbor to Bar Harbor which allows you to bring your bike along. It was our base camp to explore from Southwest Harbor to Lubec.

Yeah, the Big Chicken Barn is worth a stop. Books, antiques and collectibles. Fun.

X2
Schoodic Woods the best.
Since OP has sufficient advance time, he should seek a reservation now.
