We have been to Baxter a few years ago. We were just touring in a rental car. As I recall the roads were very narrow and there were a lot of low trees. It did not appear big rig friendly. There was a private dirt/gravel road, owned by a timber company that ran from near the entrance troigh the woods for many miles to Moosehead Lake. THAT was an interesting trip, albeit muddy. Didn't see a single moose. Beautiful country in the north woods however.

Roads are narrow and winding, space is limited and reservations difficult to get. No vehicle exceeding 9 feet in height; 7 feet in width or 22 feet in length is allowed in the Park.
